GarryP Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Publisher 1.10.5.1342 on Windows 10. Can anyone think of a reason why I can’t change the Opacity or Tint of a paragraph in a Frame Text layer when that layer is on a master page? See attached video. When the text is in a Frame Text layer which is on a master page I cannot change the Opacity or Tint of that text in the same way that I can when the Frame Text layer is not on a master page, but I can change the Fill Colour. Can anyone explain why this might be? (I did a quick search for “text opacity” but couldn’t find anything relevant.) 2022-03-28 09-53-49.mp4 Quote
joe_l Posted March 28, 2022 Posted March 28, 2022 Confirmed. To add: You cannot move the opacity slider when you try to change the opacity from the context toolbar (at least on Windows). Quote ---------- Windows 10 / 11, Complete Suite Retail and Beta

GarryP Posted March 28, 2022 Author Posted March 28, 2022 If we can use a control while something is selected then the use of that control should result in something changing. If a control is not relevant to the thing that is selected then we shouldn’t be able to use that control while that thing is selected. I just don’t know which way round it should be in this case. In other words, something is wrong but I don’t know which thing is wrong. Quote

I certainly agree, though I'm not 100% certain of the expected behaviour here - IMO either the control should work, or should be 'greyed out' to indicate it cannot be used in the current scenario. I'm getting this logged with our developers now, so they can decide which behaviour they prefer. I hope this helps GarryP 1 Quote
