chasm Posted March 24, 2022 Posted March 24, 2022 Hi my esteemed listmates, I hope you are all enjoying a good week. What I’ve seen production-wise A-Pub is amazing as are so many of the talented people who’ve kindly shared suggestions and such creative solutions on this list. I connected a 41” modern TV (HDMI) to my laptop and watched official and “unofficial” YT/Vimeo tutorials on A-Pub. The challenge is that although the large screen TV enlarges the words on screen in the tutorials it doesn’t make them any clearer than on my 15” laptop, hence it’s difficult to follow along the video when the words on screen are not clear. I learn, like many do, best sitting beside a person with the skills I’m interested in developing. That’s how I teach 3D Printing. Has anyone used an in-person instruction to develop A-Pub skills in Florida? Or have you used any group instruction to develop A-Pub skills in Florida? Wanna' Trade? You teach me A-Pub and I'll teach you 3D Printing?! Just kidding I teach it for free to those visiting the library. I thank you all for your much appreciated help, insights and patience. Thank you kindly Quote

I'm sorry to hear this, I'd recommend making sure that the 'quality' setting for any video you are watching is set to the highest available option to help reduce any 'blurriness' you may see in said videos. Unfortunately I'm not personally aware of such groups, nor is there an official (or non-official) 'meeting place' for Affinity users to find such groups, my apologies. Hopefully other Affinity users here will be able to advise further as to their recommended training, or perhaps they may be a local Floridian also looking to start a group Quote
