pomme27
I would like some "how to" advice please. In the attached image, look at the word TIMES. The tops of the letters form a straight horizontal line, but the bottoms of the letters form a curve. Using Designer Persona (vector) in Affinity Designer, how can I accomplish this text effect? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
GarryP
This functionality is sometimes called “vector warp”. You can search the forums for those terms to find that the Affinity applications can’t do this but you may also find some ‘workarounds’ that might be useful. pomme27
Thank you. I didn't know it had a name.
GarryP
You’re welcome. “Vector warp” is just one name for it; it’s sometimes called “mesh warp”, “envelope warp” or “perspective warp” depending on how people want to change the shape. It will have other names too, changing “warp” for something else – e.g. squeeze, sculpt, bend, stretch, etc. – but as long as you search for “warp” you’re bound to find what you need eventually. pomme27
Yes, I am editing each letter by hand to achieve the desired effect. I was just looking for something less tedious.
