Batch develop images for develop settings only mode

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I have been using Affinity Photo for the past three years and there is nothing out there except the "Adobe originals" that comes anywhere near the capabilities and performance. I love it. I shoot a lot of HDR and focus shifting frames with my Nikon Z7II and 24-200 Lens. In certain instances (24 -50mm) range I sometimes get severe blue fringing that can't be removed with chromatic aberration or fringing adjustments. I have to say there has been a vast improvement in release 1.10.5, but I have included a sample frame of the blue fringing that can't be removed on the right hand balconies and when the brightness and contrast is adjusted it gets worse and is visible at 100%.

That said I was wondering if the developers have considered the following:

Allow users to activate (select) multiple open images in the develop module? One would open a series of images, select the first, make the necessary develop adjustments on the first image then select the additional open images before pressing the develop button. This would then apply those first image settings to all of the active open images in a series. This would be a a work around Affinity not having (DAM) functionality but allow to in essence synching multiple images at one time. This would be much better than allowing Macros in the develop module.

By making this possible all of the corrected images could be saved and then used in either the HDR Persona or the Panorama Persona using clean developed images avoiding my problem above and answering all the other requests for processing sequencing. Once they are merged you only need to post process develop the remaining merged image. While not quite the PS method until or when, if an Infinity (DAM) becomes a reality or not this could go a long way to speeding up processing in the two persona's mentioned above.
