NotMyFault
Hi, when you try to use Select Sampled Color with a partially transparent pixel layer, you get unexpected results: SSC shows all transparent pixels selected, in addition to those with the selected color. This makes no sense at all (or should be a user choice). I would prefer if transparent pixels won't get selected. If you try to select one of the shades of grey, it is impossible to see what gets selected (as the transparent areas outblows everything else). The visible selection stays almost identical no matter what grey stripe color you sample. When you reduce the tolerance to 0 and try to select any color, no pixels get selected. But is shows marching ants at the lower and right edge of the canvas. So there is no way to select pixels with tolerance 0. Does not make sense. If you don't want to select anythink, you don't use SSC. Tolerance 0 should select pixels having exact same color (same R G B values) To summarise illogical results and UI: SSC always includes fully transparent pixels into every selection, even with tolerance 0. SSC deselects all pixels when tolerance 0 (except transparent ones) SSC misses options to show selection by color overlay. The marching ants are the least suitable option. Having red overlay, B&W, transparent would be far more useful. An option to create a mask (instead only "apply" to give a selection= would be very useful. If you click on create mask symbol while SSC is active, this creates a new mask (without the visible selection). select sampled color bug.afphoto Quote Mac mini M1 A2348 LG34WK950U-W, calibrated to DCI-P3 with LG Calibration Studio / Spider 5 iPad Air Gen 5 (2022) A2589 Special interest into procedural texture filter, edit alpha channel, RGB/16 and RGB/32 color formats, stacking, finding root causes for misbehaving files, finding creative solutions for unsolvable tasks, finding bugs in Apps.
