Watermark no longer working ....

Recommended Posts

My workflow once I finish editing is to place a Photologo watermark on my pictures and save to Photos App for sharing.

Place > Place from Photos (where I have the watermark saved) ...button on iPad menu

Export > Share > Save Image

My watermarked image is now in Photos App.

For the last couple of days some images do not save the watermark and others save multiple copies same image with watermark.

Very strange - I have updated to IOS 15.4 and Affinity for iPad 1.10.5

Any ideas what could be wrong ?  Thanks

I have attached an image where the watermark worked

The iPadOS 15.4 release apparently has some issues. Possibly one of these Affinity forum topics will help explain what's going on.

After updating to iOS 15.4, the Markup changes to photos also not saving on iPhone or iPad. if I edit a picture from my photos app on either the iPad or either iPhone and go to markup and make any changes it won’t save the picture. Guess it's more likely an iOS software issue (like mentioned here).

It's also mentioned now in the Affinity forum FAQ list:

Do we know if this is in Apple's hands or Affinity Tech ?

My thoughts are that 15.4 has changed the access to the extra iPad RAM on newer devices so it is a 50/50 bug likely needing Serif to update its memory allocations libraries to catch up with Apples changes.

My work around is on the export dialogue, press JPG, press PNG, press JPG, press share, take a look at tiny icon to see if it looks correct then save image. If it doesn't repeat these steps.
