[AD 1.10.5] Emboss-Layer effect looks "low-polygony"

Hello everyone!

Does anyone know how to fix the "low-polygon" look of the emboss filter? If I use the "soften" parameter, all I get is basically a blurring that destroys the inner edge.

I tried to point out what the problem is in the attached files.

This problem has been reported long ago, I wanted to bring it up again, as it is still not fixed.

Hi Pekranodon,

Unfortunately I don't think this is currently possible using the tools available within the emboss effect as the only way to remove banding would be using the soften slider.
