Dandandan Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I'm new to Affinity Photo, so I'm still acclimating, but I'm having a problem with what's been a no-brainer in other editing environments. When I hit the Merge Visible command with all layers or no layers selected, I create a new layer. What am I doing wrong? Quote

What am I doing wrong? Welcome to the forums. You are doing nothing wrong. That is what Affinity has decided Merge Visible means. Merge the visual information into a new Pixel layer. There are going to be other things that seem wrong, feel free to ask about them. After searching the forums of course. [smiley face emoticon] There is (in Photo only) the Flatten document menu command which will give you a single layer instead of the dozens of layers you currently have. Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Dandandan Posted March 15, 2022 Author Posted March 15, 2022 Flatten did it, of course, thanks for that and for explaining what was going on with the new layer. Back to editing! Quote
