iPadOS 15.4 export bug

If you export on iPadOS15.4, then do some modifications and export again the exported image is the first image exported not the second. The fix is to close app and restart it and export again. M1 iPad Pro 8GB 256GB.

Hi @Paul Mudditt,

I've replicated this and will get it logged with the Dev team.

You can also you see when it's going to happen, as when you go to Export>Share the thumbnail shown will be for the previous edit you've done.

Good. Also looks like same in Designer as well.

Took a while to spot that thumbnail, first time I have ever noticed it 😂!

Took me longer than it should to spot the thumbnail as well, wasn't till i used the B/W adjustment and deleted it that i did

V1.10.5 updated today does not fix this bug but looks like an attempt has been made to fix it but occasionally it still fails.

Seeing other reports on my Facebook group about this on 2020 iPads. Still happening on release version iPadOS 15.4.1.

This is still not fixed with iPadOS15.5 released yesterday and now see on my Facebook groups that it is not just M1 iPads but iPads over three years old are also affected. 

This bug needs fixing, getting very concerned now as to why this bug is not a priority.

Hi Paul,

I've just escalated this issue with my boss and also the QA team.  Please don't think this has been forgotten about.  As soon as i know any more, i'll post back.

I’ve been seeing this as well, very frustrating.  I found that I only need to go to the documents picker screen and re-open that photo to work around the problem, I don’t have to quit and restart Affinity Photo 1.10.5.280 on my M1 iPad Pro.  iOS 15.4.1.

The problem is still present in late June. I have a slightly different situation. I import a photo and extract part of it to use in another app. All goes well until I import a second photo to do another extraction. When I export it the app only exports a second copy of the previous photo. This has not always been a problem. Please fix this bug!!

In my tests of iPadOS 16 public beta on my M1 iPad Pro, the problem appears to have been fixed in both Photo and Designer, so maybe an obscure OS bug affecting some devices rather than a Serif bug.

 IMPORTANT UPDATE for anyone still using V1 Affinity applications - 

Versions 1.10.6 of the Affinity suite have been released, which we believe fixes this export issue.
