Preferences changes are not saving when i press Done

Preferences changes are not saving when i press Done.

Happens specifically with the setting for apple pencil. I tried to change doubletap "tool" from Move tool to Pencil tool. After I return to the settings my changes are gone.
Tried restarting the app but makes no difference.

Using 1.10.19 on ipad pro 2020

I tried to change some other prefs like enabling modifier keys and that actually DOES save.

Welcome to the Affinity Forums

I was about to log this with our developers, as I thought I was able to replicate the behaviour reported here - however I believe we were both slightly confused by the settings within the app.

You aren't setting a tool to be activated when double tapping with the pencil, instead each tool can have a different action applied to it when you double tap on the pencil, depending on which tool you have selected in the Affinity UI.

Therefore, when changing the top dropdown from 'Move Tool' to 'Pencil Tool', you can then change the expected action when double tapping the pencil with the Pencil Tool active from the second dropdown menu (ie you can change the double tap to swap to the move tool, or undo).

This is why when changing the top dropdown option, closing and reopening preferences, the Move Tool is still shown as selected, as this is simply the first tool in a list of editable options.

Late response but thanks for the info!
Makes sense now.

Would be nice if double tap lets me toggle between 2 different tools, rather than bring me to the move tool without being able to go back.
