Anthony H Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 I am getting lot of crashes in Affinity photo and in some cases, files were corrupted. I am getting very frustrated with this. Updated to 1.10.5.1342 did not help. I use LR and Affinity photo. Started in LR => edit in Affinity photo. Usually after a AP crash randomly, I was able to recover my work from the recovered file when reopening the file again. In some cases (25%), Affinity reported the "File type is not supported" message. I have to make backup every time open a photo for editing. I use multiple layers, masks, live filters. Win 10 21H2 Affinity Photo: 1.10.5.1342 File option: TIFF, ProPhoto RGB, 16 bits/component Hardware acceleration: On. Quote
RichardMH Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 Have you tried it with hardware acceleration off? PeteMacca 1 Quote

Anthony H Posted March 16, 2022 Author Posted March 16, 2022 Hi all, With the HW acceleration turned off, I have not had an issue of crashing or file corruption. Thank you for your help. Quote
