elbion Posted March 11, 2022 Posted March 11, 2022 (edited) Hey guys, am mildly frustrated here... Just updated affinity photo to 1.10.5.1342. - which resulted in all(!) toolbars were gone. most i got back, by going via the "view-menu" and selecting show ... tools, toolbars and context bar. However: - i didn't get back my filters under "Tone Mapping Persona" - and i didnt get back my brushes (right side bar is missing too). Using affinty photo, designer and publisher for years now, I never experienced this anywhere. Until today- it was very smooth. So 2 questions: 1. How the hell did this happen? - where have my filters and brushes gone? 2. How can i immediately fix this? ( i lost a lot of time on this- and working now in photoshop). here some stats: - updated via: affinity´s own in-programme update prompt window. - using Win 10 Pro, Build 19043 - Type: 64 - MSI- Creator Z p100X - Proces:-I9-10900K ; 3.70ghz - Graph: Nvid GF RTX 2080 S Connex: Fibre 915Mbit/s I tried also a total fresh reinstall, no effect. * sigh * And under "view" there is nothing more i can tick or select... Thank you for swift help- i am getting grey hairs 😃 * EDIT: i added now a screenshot for you, so you see how it looks like on the View panel and Studio options * Edited March 11, 2022 by elbion adding a screenshot Quote
Staff MEB Posted March 11, 2022 Staff Posted March 11, 2022 Hi @elbion, Welcome to Affinity Forums You probably hit the TAB key which hides most of the interface. If you hit TAB again it should display the missing panels. If not you can always enable them via the View menu. Regarding the Tone Mapping presets (not filters) you can re-enable them, switching to Tone Mapping Persona then going to menu View > Studio > Presets. Regarding the Brushes panel, same thing: in Photo Persona go to menuView > Studio > Brushes. In the bottom of that menu you also have commands to display the left and right studios if they aren't being displayed and a command to reset the stuff to the default config. elbion Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 Hej @MEB, thank you for the welcome and swift answer, .. unfortunately this is not the solution. I do know about the tab-key function, and it doesn't bring back the missing tools (see above screenshot from first post). Thank you also for the hint with the tone-mapping view-stuio presets- as you see in below screenshot, that doesn't do the trick either. - what can i do now? Thank you. Quote
elbion Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 SOLVED \o/ a coworker msged me, it was the "Hide Studio Options". he had that too, and we prolly both have it unknowingly on a hotkey. that brought back the options under tone-mapping and under photo-persona. cheers & happy weekend folks 😃 Quote
