Prepending pages to the first page results in invisible text

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm a noob in using Affinity Publisher and it might very well be a mistake on my side.
That said, here's the relevant info:

  • I'm using Publisher 1.10.5.1342
  • I can reproduce it with the attached file, see the attached video file (VLC is your friend)
  • It doesn't happen with a new file
  • I'm using Windows 10
  • Hardware acceleration on/off doesn't have an impact

Recipe:

  • Open the pages view in the left studio
  • Right click on the first page, select "Add Pages..."
  • Select 1+ sites to prepend, click ok

Result: The text on page 1 is "lost". If you search for it, it will highlight some invisible text on the newly created second page.

I just discovered your products. Thanks so much for providing such high quality tools and for offering us a viable alternative to the Adobe pay-per-second insanity!

Problem confirmed, I see what you see

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

It seems to be a problem with a detached text on the Master page. Cutting and copying the text frame to page 1 and then adding a page before gives no problem. Anyway, this should not happen.
