pixelshrink Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Hi, I've just had to do a Windows 10 reset where all my apps were deleted. However, the Affinity installation is still there and usable. When I come to install the new version (downloaded via the Affinity Store), it doesn't recognise the current installation and wants to install into an empty folder. But if I go to Add or remove programs or right click on the Affinity application and Uninstall, the Affinity programs don't appear on the list. So am I OK to just delete the existing Affinity programs from the hard drive, and install again? Quote
Komatös Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Hi, @pixelshrink and welcome to the forums. Looks like you bought the Affinity programme from the Windows Store? If so, there is no entry in Programs and Features. pixelshrink Posted March 10, 2022 Author Posted March 10, 2022 No, I downloaded it from Affinity Store but had to do a Windows reset, so all apps were supposed to be uninstalled. The Affinity app is still there and usable. Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 10, 2022 Posted March 10, 2022 Did you install to the standard C drive, in the standard directory? Did you do anything to move its AppData folder from C? pixelshrink Posted March 10, 2022 Author Posted March 10, 2022 Thanks, no I installed in a different drive. I didn't move its appdata folder though. Quote

Then at a minimum I think you need to delete the folder you installed into before, or at least delete its contents. Or install into a different folder.
