Create a vector brush in Designer

Hello,

is there any way to create my own vector brushes in Designer? Just like a simple line brush (attached). I could do it with "appearance" but rather i just want to create brushes like in Adobe Illustrator. To change the line color afterwards for example. Or if it comes to overlapping i want only the strokes to overlap. Not the filling.

Is there any way to do proper vector brushes? Could not find anything on the internet..

Hi @jonasbonas,

Unfortunately the only current method to achieve a true vector brush would be to use Appearance panel as you have described.

A multi-brush would require an image first which would not be true vector. You can find out more information on this in the below topic.

Too bad.. hopefully they will implementate a good tool, just as illustrator. Pixel based brushes are more or less useless in this case..
