Sample Point Identification Request

Recommended Posts

Agreed but for now you can click the individual "Sample from cursor" arrow in a sampler and it will deactivate the sample point on the image.

Clicking the "Sample from cursor" arrow a second time will reinstate the sample point on the image in the same location it was previously.

This is the only way I know to identify a sample point without actually moving it, which is usually not what you want to do

To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.

Edit: Just found some other ways

1. If you select the Paint Brush Tool, set to a basic black brush and hover over a sampler on the image, the relevant sampler in the info panel will change (temporarily) its RGB vales to 0,0,0.  PS Ensure brush preview is switched on in Preferences

2. Add a temporary small black rectangle to the image and move that to each sample point on the image, the relevant sampler in the info panel will change its RGB vales to 0,0,0

Talking about sample points, I have noticed that what appears to be a default behaviour is that the Info Panel always loads with 2 values (RGB) and (CMYK). Is there an option to change the second value to something else, CMYK for photo editing doesn't seem the right default choice to me.
