daveb2
When using the color picker tool, one is shown the RGB values. (Or the value of the other options) Is there an easy way within Affinity Photo to determine the color name? For example, the color I am using is (RGB) 222, 159, 80. According to (Color Name & Hue – Colblindor (color-blindness.com), 222, 159, 80 is the hue orange and the color name is Porsche. As I am color blind (red/green) and need to check colors. I can see a green leaf but is it green in the photo? Thanks
Staff Dan C Posted March 9, 2022 Staff Share Posted March 9, 2022 Hi @daveb2, 9 hours ago, daveb2 said: When using the color picker tool, one is shown the RGB values. Unfortunately the Colour Picker tool and the Colour Studio will only ever show values and not 'names' for undefined (ie not in a swatch) colours. If you have a Global Colour swatch defined, then the name of the swatch will appear in the Colour Studio when set to 'Tint' mode, as shown below - 2022-03-09 11-14-55.mp4 Please see the below link for more info on colour swatches - https://affinity.help/designer/English.lproj/index.html?page=pages/Panels/swatchesPanel.html?title=Swatches panel I hope this helps Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
