Hello there

I have purchased Affinity Publisher and received my Product code and can use Affinity but have been unable to register my product. It just keeps saying Try LAter ?

Getting frustrated. Also how do i download the free products which came with the purchase

Once you have registered you can download them manually from the website using your browser, or from within the application itself using the My Account function.

Thanks but I'm afraid that's not helping me at the moment. I've purchased this APP and I can use it as I have the Product Key but yet I can't register the Product and as a side issue I can't download the free products should I want them.

Contacting Affinity on Twitter has so far been fruitless. I would have preferred to speak with someone direct to get this sorted. I'm far from happy about this now.

To confirm: You have tried the workaround shown in that FAQ, and it did not work for you?

What OS are you using?

I'm using Windows and I'm afraid my tech know how doesn't extend to trying to sort out in Administrator. All I know is that I try and register on the site and it times out and asks me to try later ? Having to go through Forums instead of speaking to someone from the Co direct is to me not acceptable. No disrespect.

Assuming your account has Administrator authority it's trivial: right-click the application icon and choose Run As Administrator.

You don't really need much tech know how. Try the following. It is for windows and it worked for me.

Quote

If you want to have enduring access to the additional stuff from Affinity (Assets, Brushes, Fonts...), copy this config-file to the following path: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0\ or, if your apps are from the Microsoft Store: C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Affinity\Photo\1.0(Store)\ (for the other apps, replace "Photo" by "Publisher" or "Designer").

AppData is a hidden folder, so if you haven't already done it, you need to make it visible in the Explorer. Click on "View" on the top of the Explorer and set a hook at something like "Hidden Elements" or so on the right side (don't know how it is called in english. Then the folder "AppData" should appear.

If you start your apps after that, you should be able to sign in/register.

Using Run as Administrator is simpler, and works for most users :)

Maybe you are right, but for me it didn't work. Every time I started one of the apps, I had to install the goodies from Serif again. That wasn't really simple. To copy this file to the folders took me a few minutes, and now it works as it should.
