Painting in white on an inverted mask does not make content appear complete

Recommended Posts

Hello,

in Photo, when I paint in white on an inverted (completely black) mask using the Brush tool, the image does not fully appear in the painted area. The background shines through. As I brush over the same area multiple times, the opacity gets higher and higher. I'm sure I just picked a wrong setting, but I can't figure out which one. Maybe the screenshot will make it clear what I did wrong. Thanks for the help in advance.
Best regards
Rainer

Hello @RainerH,

in which blend mode is the brush set?

Set the blend mode to normal and it should work as expected.

Cheers
