nobu1 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 About macro function 1. I understand that macros are multiple actions. Is it possible to action multiple macros on the same image in succession? 2. I action a macro, and I save it. Is it possible to use the save's image in succession? 3. I want to write a square border of size of "50% of the image size". Is it possible to register the "50% of the image size" in macro? Quote
GarryP Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Welcome to the forums @nobu1 Your question would have been better asked in the appropriate “Questions” section of the forums rather than a “Feedback” section as the “Feedback” sections are generally used to report problems and make suggestions for changes and/or new features. (Also, questions in the “Questions” sections tend to get answered more quickly.) A moderator will probably move this thread for you so there’s no need to duplicate this elsewhere. Quote

Is it possible to use the save's image in succession? Not sure what you mean by 'the save's image'. If you macro action involves copying an image onto the clipboard then that image is baked into the macro and will be used in subsequent evocations of the macro. 2 hours ago, nobu1 said: 3. No. As with the copy function, if you record a macro to draw a border 50% of your first image, then that same border will be used in subsequent evocations with the original absolute size (not a percent of the target image. carl123 Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 3. Can most likely be done with equations. Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. v_kyr Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 yes In case you mean a saved macro and use/call that then in succession (?), therefor the answer would be yes. In case of a via a macro modified image, the by the macro actualized image state (if the macro successful performed) is already there, so it's up to you what to do with that further. Macros sadly don't handle image related (re)size operations and the like in a variable dynamic manner, meaning here that what you record in macro actions here, will usually be statically fixed value sizes related to the initial image you recoded the macros on. In case of a border for an image, the macro will record/keep only the absolute fixed values for that initial image then. - So in order to create a variable, image size independent border macro some workarounds have to be used here (see Carl123's above comment). nobu1 Posted March 7, 2022 Author Posted March 7, 2022 Thank you! I understand all the questions. I think about an alternative of 3. I think this software is the better macro function and price than Photoshop. Quote
nobu1 Posted March 7, 2022 Author Posted March 7, 2022 v_kyr's answer is the right about 2. sorry for my poor explanation. Quote

Certainly on price but Photo has a long way to go before it's close to Photoshop actions Affinity macros are a bit of a pain when it comes to resizing Best I can do is: Resize the canvas, I've used 5000x5000 Duplicate the image Apply equations - see image below Clip canvas Fill with white Move to the bottom So an 800x600 image becomes 1202x902 which isn't quite correct but it's close enough for jazz 50pcborder.afmacro R C-R 1 Quote Microsoft Windows 11 Home, Intel i7-1360P 2.20 GHz, 32 GB RAM, 1TB SSD, Intel Iris Xe Affinity Photo - 24/05/20, Affinity Publisher - 06/12/20, KTM Superduke - 27/09/10
