Tjn25 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 I find the mouse shortcuts unintuitive as they differ from the shortcuts I use in other apps, and it would be great to be able to modify (or even disable) some of them the same way the keyboard shortcuts can be modified. Quote

What is a mouse shortcut? Are you talking about using modifier keys (shift, option/alt, control and command) in conjunction with mouse clicks and drags? There are some things that can be done with the Preferences for some uses. Tjn25 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 Yes, I meant the modifier keys. I searched the forums for ways of changing these, and looked through the settings and couldn't find anything. Quote
Old Bruce Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 I do not use a mouse so I cannot actually give good advice but people may be able to help if you give examples of what you want. For instance there is the zoom with the mouse wheel that can be modified to a degree in the preferences. There is some change regarding the use of the shift key for proportional scaling in the preferences as well. To the best of my knowledge there is no way to alter them overall. Tjn25 Posted March 6, 2022 Author Posted March 6, 2022 Mostly I would like to disable CMD-scroll causing any rotation of my document, as I consistently find myself going to zoom in and rotating the whole document instead. Quote

Cmd-Scroll? I would have expected Opt+Scroll, given that it's Alt+Scroll on Windows. But there is a Preference to enable/disable that one: Tjn25 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
