Hello @Warloch.
Welcom to the Forum.

Go to Start , then select Settings
Ease of Access  Keyboard,
and turn on the toggle under Use the On-Screen Keyboard.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Alternatively, Windows Key + Ctrl + O will activate the on-screen keyboard.

@Warloch: Note that to rename a layer, you need to click (or double-click) on the layer name to enable editing.

Touch keyboard is all ready in use, but no luck. Affinity text boxes dont't work as they should. I use Dell Canvas 27 inch touch and stylus monitor. Also when selecting with stylus transparency percentage etc. Affinity won't register stylus clicks. All other softwares work as they are intended.

Hi @Warloch,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums & sorry to hear you're having trouble!

Can you please provide a screen recording showing the behaviour you're referring to?

If you're unsure how to take a screen recording, please check out our FAQ linked below -

Many thanks in advance :)

Many thanks for the screenshot provided and I'm sorry to see this!

Can you please check and confirm you are running the latest drivers for this device? You should be able to use the Canvas Installer app at the below link to check and install the latest updates -

https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/product-support/product/dell-canvas-kv2718d/drivers

I'd also recommend ensuring that your GPU drivers are fully up to date, performing a clean installation of the latest versions if possible. If you're not sure how to do either of these, please do let me know :)

Everything is up to date but no change what is happening. Trying to switch from photoshop to affinity as I am colouring historical WW2 photos.

I really liked to switch completely to affinity photo but now it is not possible as the touch and stylus aren't working as they should.

Thanks for trying this and I'm sorry to hear this - can you please navigate to Edit > Preferences > Tools, here you should see an option for Tablet Input Method.

Try changing this option to Windows INK and then restart the app. If this doesn't change the behaviour then try High Precision (or whichever option you did not have selected originally) and let me know if this resolves the issue? :)
