Missing Sony EXIF when import from photo if shot RAW+JPEG

I use usb cable to import my R+J from my Sony A7C to my ipad(15.3.1) photo library, then use import function in affinity (1.10.3.267). 

The EXIF exist in photo library but after import to affinity they are gone.

In following conditions the EXIF can be found in affinity.

• The EXIF will be preserved if I shoot in raw only and follow the same import procedure.
• The EXIF will be preserved if I import the individual raw from Files even I shot in R+J.

Did I do something wrong? Or is it just apple doing apple thing, because I noticed the EXIF in photo library tagged as JPEG.

Btw I tried to attach the R+J photo in here from my iPad photo library but judge by the size, it will only upload the JPEG part of it.

I've tried to investigate this further here, however unfortunately I'm only able to find sample images from this camera which are either JPEG or RAW, but thus far I've found no samples of JPEG + RAW combined.

I can confirm I'm seeing this above behaviour currently, with the camera model being correctly detected for a RAW file opened from both Photos and Files.

In order for me to look into this further, can you please upload a sample J+R file to the below link for me?

Thanks for you reply, I have upload the files.

When I said I shoot in R+J, my Raw & JPEG are separated as well in the Files app or Finder. 

However when I use the import function in photo app on iPad, my iPad recognise my Raw & corresponding JPEG as one photo as J+R.(as I showed in the second screenshot). 

So If I going to reproduce this issue without this camera, I may going to put 2 files in same folder on a SD card and let the Photo app to import them.

My sincerest apologies for the delayed response here @typeight & many thanks the for the files provided!

I can confirm I've been able to replicate this issue here, therefore I'm getting it logged with our developers as a bug now - interesting on macOS when importing the same images into Photos and then editing in Affinity, this EXIF data is retained, so I certainly hope it should be possible to fix on iPad.

As confirmed above, this is logged as a bug with our developers currently. So I can update this log with your report, can you please provide a sample RAW file that does not display this information correctly for you?
