I have written a sewing pattern in Publisher. I have tried all the settings I can think of to export this document and it's just not working. When I export the file as PDF it is way way way bigger than original file. Original file is 5.50MB when I export that same file I get one that is 50.9 (this is on the smaller side of sizes I have gotten). Issue is people are having issues printing documents this big and its a digital pattern. I don't want to export as low quality because it gets distorted and as a sewing pattern I can't have it get distorted. If any one could help please that would be great. At one point I got one that is only 25 MB and good quality but I haven't been able to repeat that at all and I really need to be able to repeat it so that when edits are done or future patterns I need to know how to get it to work.  I understand that PDF will be bigger than original file but thats like massively bigger than original file.

Do you mean *.afpub? This file is vector file, and rasterization may occur during export. How do you set up export? Do you use any fx or other adjustments, which then lead to export rasterization?

Hi @kreativekoyote,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

Can you please provide a copy of your Affinity document and screenshot showing your current export settings (including the 'More...' dialog)?

Many thanks in advance!
