Busy illustrating and animating 66 (!!) different animals for on a new Interactive Map. Happily using Affinity Designer for all graphics on the map to have them vector-based.

Starting with the elephant  🐘! Such beautiful animals! 😀

@MmmMaarten How lovely!  You have captured him perfectly.  I'd like to keep him on my desktop every day, just to remind me that there are truly wonderful things - still - in this world!

“Waiter! Bring me a bowl of crocodile soup, and make it snappy!!”

Haha! 😁 Hippos 🦛 looks a lot cuter tho 😀... although I wouldn't like them to go after me neither 😬

Also Grant Zebras 🦓 are pretty beautiful. Did you know they have stripes to confuse their attackers when they're running together in formation? (their attacker can't detect what direction they're going because they get confused by their stripes. Pretty amazing stuff).

Thanks for your nice reactions and have a nice weekend! 😀

@MmmMaarten  I have seen that sea lion hundreds of times at Sea World in San Diego, California, bobbing for fish.  So perfect.  Also the flamingo’s right leg!  Your creatures continue to be spectacular!

It is those small muscular movements that are so perfect.  Each and every one is wonderful!

A White Rhino 🦏 … isn’t white! ;)

There are some weird translations of animal names too:

This is a 'Great White Pelican', but in Dutch this is a 'Roze Pelikaan' (literally translates to 'Pink Pelican' in English)...
Both are partly right tho; the neck is pink and the feathers are white 😀

All wonderful, but especially the ostrich.  So many delicate movements!

This is one of my most favourite animals to watch on documentaries... such funny animals to see, always stressed and on the lookout for preditors! 😀...:

Meerkat (although I like the Dutch name better in this case: Stokstaartje, which literally translates to 'Stick Tail'... which describes it pretty well, haha 😁)
