I'm new to AP for Mac, this may be easier than I'm making it. When I place an image (tif or png) with a transparent background in an AP document it appears correctly on-screen, but when I export to PDF and print a sample the bounding box for the image prints in black. I've tried dragging and dropping the image and using the Place tool with the same result. Wha am I missing?

I'm trying to create a series of gate-fold gift cards from my drawings. I place a large image on the front page of the card and a smaller image on the back of the card. At first I thought it was the use of a drop-shadow causing the problem. But I removed those and get the same results. See two attachments: one is what I see on-screen, and one is what prints from the PDF I generate in AP. Any ideas will be appreciated. And yes I blurred the text, that's not the problem.

Hi @Greybeard53,

If you could provide samples to search where is the problem, it would be useful.

I will reiterate Wosven's request; A simple sample document would really help.

Otherwise all we can do is speculate.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

It may be due to mismatched Colour Profiles and Colour spaces.

Perhaps you can try posting a bug report in the forum, and give the files to a moderator, so they can correct the export to PDF above 1.3.

Above 1.3, PDF version  will keep transparency, masks and effects, but it can be displayed differently depending of the PDF viewer, printed with errors on home printers, and also with errors when send to print...

Looking at the print preview in Adobe Reader can help notice some errors.
