Thank you

So I dont think designer has that option!  Are you kidding me! crap So searching further i see there is the document icon in affinity designer for the ipad!  Again, why is the ipad so special that it gets functions left out of the desktop designer?

@ahnayYou can use an artboard to resize your canvas. If you don't want the artboard you can then delete it which will crop the canvas and give you the options to keep or discard whatever was inside it. Photo has the typical Crop Tool but no Artboard Tool and it has the options to change the canvas settings in the menus. If you own Publisher you can use both methods by switching Personas as long as you own all three programs.

Hello. I'm unclear whether you are refering to AffDes or Aff Photo here. I don't have AffPhoto but in AffDes I just set up an A4 document, then went to File>Document setup and resized it without difficulty.

Did you looked and read the related "Affinity Designer for iPad" Online Help parts?

Generally also always take a look into and search through the "Online Help" system for the coresponding Affinity app, it will show you what functions are available and how to use/setup certain things here in general ...

☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan
☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Thank you, after searching online for more info and artboards i tried to find that option.  And did try it.

designer on ipad and designer on desktop are two completely different animals!  they are not consistent from device to device.  Ipad has merge down in layers, and iirc the document icon in the top menu bar, those dont exist at all in desktop designer. I dont know any other company that does that, lol.  I have been with serif for years, and always liked their software, but this? no.  I was told in another post that they thought the designer/coder was the same for both.  I had just guessed someone new designed the code for ipad, and just added it those in as being required by any artist desgner using the software.  who knew.

Thank you sorry i digressed. ;)

If you want to save it as a different size, you could try File > Export, and specify the size you want for the output file.

If you want to change the document's canvas size (assuming you have a canvas, not an Artboard), then in Designer File > Document Setup will let you do it.
