Exp function in Equations

I was exploring Filter > Distort > Equations to distort an image and discovered that the Field Equations do not include the exponential function exp(). I would say that this is an important omission were it not that I have only noticed that after many years playing with Equations. I suspect that the log function is missing too, although I have not looked.

Another omission seems to  be the power operator (usually the caret ^).

Could these please be added in future versions.
