apple pencil changing unwanted paintbrush tool to gum tool

Working in the pixelpersona in affinity on ipad , my apple pencil change unwanted from brushtool to gumtool, although i have disabled that function in my ipad configuration. Thanks for any help.

It sounds like the double tap feature within the apps preferences that can be used to switch to tool to the previous one or to set it.
