urbanbabybonnets
Hi Affinity! When I use Adobe Illustrator, I can open a file, click on "image trace" and it will convert the lines of the drawing to vector-editable objects. I can't seem to figure out how to do that same thing in Affinity Designer. Can you help? Thank you, Colette
Hokusai
urbanbabybonnets, Currently Affinity Designer doesn't have the ability to vectorize raster images. This has been requested quite often but I don't know if the developers plan to add this feature or not. Even if they do decide to add it, it will take time. You do have a few options. You can use another app or another service to vectorize your raster images or you can simply trace them in Designer (how easy this is depends on how complicated your raster image is). Oval
“Convert Pixel selection to Vector shape” is still on the roadmap.
Staff MEB Posted December 10, 2015 Staff Share Posted December 10, 2015 Hi Oval, That's a different feature. It's for converting pixel selections (not images) you create with the selection tools to a vector shape.
