jeffers
When in photo personna and using the text tool, selecting text you get a drop down panel to select different fonts. In comparison using Microsoft Word you can drag on the bottom of the panel to extend and show more selections of fonts. Is there a setting for this in Photo to get a larger view of available fonts or is it a Windows (W10 in my case) thing?
PaulEC
It's the same in all the Affinity apps, but I don't think it's a Window's limitation as you can have longer dropdowns in other apps (like PagePlus, where it goes all the way down the screen). I can't see any reason for this limitation and I'd certainly prefer it if I could adjust the dropdown; I get fed up with all the scrolling! RNKLN
On my Mac it's different. Although this could still mean it's an Affinity thing and not a Windows thing. Same in Affinity Photo by the way. Personally, I would not like this list to cover my desktop, where I need to see what the currently selected font looks like. I'd rather have the current shorter list. jeffers
Just another of AP quirks and minor irritations depending on your point of view I suppose. Not a big deal I'll get over it
Staff Dan C Posted February 16, 2022 Staff Share Posted February 16, 2022 Hi @jeffers, Unfortunately there's no option currently within Affinity to set the 'length' of the font dropdown, my apologies. I'll be sure to move this thread to the feedback section of the forums, for our devs to see and consider for a future update Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! I don't bother too much since, when the list is open, you can move the underlying document to make the area you're interested in visible.
