beresfj Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 I am creating a document to print name badges on a Win 10 PC. When I generate the merge the fields the first field is correct, but the next field is from a record 4 down the list as is the 3rd field. What is happening and how do I fix it? Quote
Old Bruce Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 There are a number of ways to achieve what you have experienced. We would need to know some more about how you are laying out the badges. Are you using the Data Merge Layout tool? Check the Context Toolbar, does it look like this? Most important is the Record offset and the Record Advance. Should be 0 and 1 respectively. If you are not using the Data Merge Layout Tool then I don't know exactly what would be happening. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Old Bruce Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 As I said it is using the Data Merge Layout tool, that is what drew the blue table thing. I have the Context toolbar turned on. Do you have that turned on too? Go to View > Show Context Toolbar and make certain that it is checkmarked. beresfj Posted February 14, 2022 Author Posted February 14, 2022 Yes Context Toolbar is turned on. Now can't see Data Merge Layout tool. Quote

Looks like this, and you have to be in the Publisher Persona of Publisher. beresfj Posted February 14, 2022 Author Posted February 14, 2022 Found it eventually. The problem now seems to have righted itself. Thanks for your help Quote
