Kostadin
Hello, I created in Affinity Designer half of an apple and exported it as eps file in order to use it in Strata Design 3D for creating a Lathe object. Strata is tightly connected with Adobe products and should accept it, however nothing appears on the grid. I downloaded the AppleTemplate.eps file from Strata's web site and it was successfully imported. I tried several approaches in creating the eps file in Affinity, converted to curves, rasterised, but nothing changes. Is there anything specific that I should do in Affinity Designer in order to make the eps file more compatible than it is ? Thank you. retrograde
I don't know about Strata but an SVG from Affinity D file worked for me in Blender... Staff Andy Somerfield Posted October 5, 2014 Staff Share Posted October 5, 2014 EPS is using Apple's EPS print driver at the moment. I was always under the impression that it was pretty good, but we will look at this.. AndyS
Kostadin
Thank you for your response Andy, the AppStore version of Strata I use has strange limitations of importing most of the file formats, excluding the eps one. I would ask my question from another point of view, is there a difference between Adobe AI eps format and the Apple's eps printer driver, Affinity Designer's one ? In my opinion, if there is a difference in the Apple's EPS printer driver, it would not be called EPS :), Apple is not an occasional company in this industry. Kostadin
Hi again,I sent an EPS file created with Affinity Designer to a friend of mine who works with CINEMA 4D. It successfully opens and can be additionally manipulated with modifiers as well. Obviously everything works in Affinity Designer :)
