Anna K
*** COMPLETE NEWBIE *** I am trying to insert an image into a custom shape. I have found a tutorial saying that the shape should be made into a background. Then, that the way to do it is to select a new fill layer. That option does not seem available in Affinity Designer. I'm pretty stuck and it's something I need for an order and to use on a regular basis in the future. Any help would be appreciated (preferably not in geek language ) Additionally, is there an online version of Affinity Designer instructions - only found hard copy ones that range between £40-£
telemax
Hi, Welcome to the Affinity Forums! This principle will also work in Affinity Designer. firstdefence
Welcome to the forum @Anna K Probably the simplest method would be to have a custom shape, then an image and in the layers panel, move the image so that it becomes a child of the custom shape, like this. Anna K
Thank you so much! I think I was doing it the wrong way round. I was trying to insert the image into the shape layer. Tried, works, thank you again!
