Jixal
Hi, I'd like to add some colour variation into my paintings but the dynamic jitter applies the variation to every step, instead of every time I apply an new stroke. How do I set this dynamic change to occur once per stroke. So I can vary color between strokes, rather than within each individual stroke. If it helps i'm trying to follow the mini tute/ tip in the image attached Thanks, J
Staff Dan C Posted February 4, 2022 Staff Share Posted February 4, 2022 Hi @Jixal, Unfortunately I don't believe this is currently possible in Affinity Photo, my apologies. The closest I could replicate within the app was setting Hue to 'Direction', meaning each stroke would have colour variation based on the direction you are painting in - however I don't believe this would exactly allow you to achieve what you are hoping at this time. I'll be sure to log this as an improvement with our developers for a future update Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Jixal
Ah ok, that's a shame. Hopefully it makes its way into Affinity Photo at some point. I tried the direction setting but its too restrictive, forces a painter into a predefined box etc.
Aglou
Hello ! Reviving this important topic Is the feature "color jitter per stroke" available in the version 2? Will it be available on affinity photo and designer? I don't seems to find any information on it.
Staff Dan C Posted January 5, 2023 Staff Share Posted January 5, 2023 Hi @Aglou, Welcome to the Affinity Forums Unfortunately this feature hasn't yet been implemented in the Affinity suite, however I will be sure to add a 'vote' to this feature for you now in our internal development log. I hope this helps!
