For the past few hours I have been searching for a solution to the problem of importing an affinity designer SVG file into blender. I can import the file but it doesn't process the right way in blender. All the layers are mixed up, curves that are pasted inside other curves protrude. I have looked through the forums and have watched YouTube videos but none of the fixes seem to address this issue.

I very much appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this.

Hi, Welcome to the Forums!

If you provide a test file, it will help to figure it out.

Sorry this was the first time I posted on one of these forums. Here is some more information:

The attached file is the one i would like to import. I have added a jpeg of the affinity file as reference. I am using blender 2.93.5. I have tried grouping the Curves before exporting them. I have tried converting them into paths. I am at a complete loss tbh.

I would like to import the file for 2D animation but the same problem occurs when I import it into the 2D animation Tool.

That Kitsune file is not vector art. It is packaged as an SVG but it is not vector art.

Try starting with something simple that you draw in Designer using vectors and export as SVG then import that into Blender.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 11.7.3
Affinity Designer 2.0.4 | Affinity Photo 2.0.4 | Affinity Publisher 2.0.4 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
