Raimundo3D
Hi all! I'm exporting a project with some layers in Linear Burn blend mode to PSD. When I open the PSD, all Linear Burn layers are in Normal blend mode. This also happens with the following blend modes: This ruins the project completely. Am I doing something wrong? Is this a known bug or limitation? Thank you in advance.

I don't have Photoshop but I opened a PSD in Photopea and everything was fine but... ...i had to replace the fill layer with a layer effect (Color Overlay/Linerar Burn). 1 hour ago, Raimundo3D said: Am I doing something wrong? Raimundo3D
Obrigado pela ajuda Lisbon. Here's an use case: 1. create a new .afphoto file 2. add a layer and set it to Linear Burn 3. export it as PSD 4. open the PSD in AP or Photopea (same result) 5. check if the blending mode changed to Normal or if it's still Linear Burn If I try this, the layer blending mode has changed to Normal. This also happens with any of those blending modes in my original post. I'm not sure if this is a bug only happening on my machine or if it happens to every one. So if you can try these 5 steps and report back I would appreciate it. Lisbon

FWIW, it happens to me when reopening the export in AP on my Mac. Raimundo3D
Great news everyone! (JK😄) So, it's probably an exporter bug.. hmmm.. I will report it and see what Affinity guys thinks about it. Thank you RC-R! R C-R
Staff Dan C Posted January 27, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2022 Hi @Raimundo3D, Thanks for your report! As far as I'm aware, these blends modes should be supported when exporting to PSD, so I do believe this is a bug with the application currently - I'm getting this logged with our developers now to be fixed ASAP. I hope this helps
Raimundo3D
Thank you @Dan C Is there any way to download a previous version so I can try to properly export to PSD?
Staff Dan C Posted January 27, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 27, 2022 8 minutes ago, Raimundo3D said: Is there any way to download a previous version so I can try to properly export to PSD? You're able to download previous versions of Affinity from here - https://store.serif.com/update/windows/photo/1/ However I have checked this issue going back to version 1.8.5 (released in August 2020) and the same bug is present, so I don't believe reverting to an old version will change this behaviour for you currently, my apologies. EDIT - I've been informed by our team internally that Linear Burn should be retained when exporting, however the other blend modes you've listed here aren't supported by Photoshop and therefore are converted when exporting. At this time, the bug report with our developers is to fix Linear Burn not being retained when exporting to PSD. I hope this clears things up NotMyFault, Lisbon and Raimundo3D
Raimundo3D
Thank you @Dan C! I will wait for the update. Cheers!
Lisbon
Hi @Raimundo3D While waiting, and if you really need this file format, you could open the PSD in Photopea, correct only the Linear Burn problem and save again as PSD. Tested with a levels adjustment and a pixel layer and the PSD is fine.
