Nigel_GH
I have tried opening one of my photographs ( screenshot 1, Affinity Photo, version 1.10.4.1198) and as you can see I get bad pixilation on the image. I can open the same image in other editing software and the image opens correctly (screenshot 2, Nikon NX Studio) and the third screenshot is how the EXIF data is shown in Adobe Bridge. I have noted that the ISO in Affinity Photo is ISO 1, in NX Studio 2EV over 3200 which is ISO 12800, and lastly Adobe Bridge reports ISO 12800. Having tried opening several other photos, any of them with an ISO greater than ISO 3200 suffers the same pixilation fault, and amount of pixilation varies randomly. My system is: Windows 11 on Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.10 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB (5.94 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Could anybody help please. Screenshot 1. Screenshot 2. Screenshot 3. Best regards, Nigel. Seweryn
PeteMacca
Have you tried disabling Hardware Acceleration (OpenCL)? Affinity and AMD do not always play nice. Edit > Preferences > Performance
Staff Lee D Posted January 26, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 26, 2022 @Nigel_GHCan you provide one of the RAW files as the highest ISO files I can find is 3200 and they're loading fine.
Nigel_GH
Sorry I have not replied earlier but my partner has been very ill so I have been looking after her. I will reply to both PeteMacca and Lee D. @PeteMacca, I have tried disabling Hardware Acceleration but that made no difference at all. @Lee D, I have attached the file to this post, I hope this helps. Tried a ISO 6400 again and it opened OK so it appears that ISO 12800 is giving trouble. _DSC3025.NEF Edited January 29, 2022 by Nigel_GH Additional Info. RichardMH
Adobe dng converter gives a more usable image. Topaz DeNoise does a good job with the above image. If I send it to DeNoise from AP the artifacts are still there.
Nigel_GH
As far as I can tell this has NOT been resolved. Best regards. Nigel. RichardMH
