boonemdph
I have a problem with the node at the bottom. As you can see there is only 1 handle. How can I get the second handle ? And is this the reason why I can't add an extra node between this node and the node completely at the right ? Thanks for any help ! I scanned multiple small objects and converted them via the web into curves and got for each of the objects the same issue.
firstdefence
The reason you are seeing a single node handle is because you have a curved path on that side and a flat line on the other side, the flat line does not require a node handle else the flat line wouldn't be flat it would be curved. If you want the flat side node handle to show just click on the flat line and pull it out of shape slightly and the other node handle will appear. boonemdph
Deleting this node will not solve the problem as the node above with the blue handle will then have this issue.
G13RL
To add to what @firstdefencewas said, the curve is open so there is no "physical" line at the bottom. You have to close the curve to get two handles on the node.
boonemdph
if i put my cursor on the line between the left and the right node nothing happened. Normally i would do as you described but in this case the sign that show you can move the line doesn't appear.
boonemdph
@G13RL: I moved the right node to the red one and indeed now I have 2 handles and it behaves as I wanted, thanks ! Strange that you can fill it with a colour even when the curve is not closed. Learning every day ! Wonderfull application.
G13RL
@boonemdph, to close the curve, you could select it, and use the "Close Curve" button in the contextual bar.

It can be useful, for example, if you’re drawing ears on a cartoon character’s head: you wouldn’t want a line where the ear joins the side of the face. Like in this crude example, for both the ears & for the sleeves, all of which have a pressure curve applied.
