Dmitry_Pogorelov Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Hello Affinity team! Here is the video that shows how to brush (any brush) drawing in my Affinity Photo (last version) Windows 11, Radeon RX 580...I don’t understand why this happens and as soon as I finish drawing, the drawing immediately becomes blurry and then again in high resolution Regards, Dmitry bandicam 2022-01-23 22-24-35-647.mp4 debraspicher 1 Quote
Staff stokerg Posted January 24, 2022 Staff Posted January 24, 2022 Hi @Dmitry_Pogorelov, Could you click Edit>Preferences>Performance and post a screenshot of this window? Dmitry_Pogorelov 1 Quote
Dmitry_Pogorelov Posted January 24, 2022 Author Posted January 24, 2022 Hi @stokerg Yep, but I tried different options… Quote
Dmitry_Pogorelov Posted January 25, 2022 Author Posted January 25, 2022 In addition to this, I noticed that this is happening on the monitor Viewsonic VP2768-4K, while on a second monitor (not 4K) the brushes work fine. But, again - on a 4k (VP2768-4K) monitor, Photoshop has no problems! Quote
SunnyFluffles Posted January 26, 2022 Posted January 26, 2022 I had this happen to me too. What I realized was the renderer was switching between performance mode and quality mode as I was drawing. Under "Retina Rendering" you have "best" selected, this means the program will use a low quality render when you are actively drawing and then switch to a high quality one when you are not actively drawing. If you select "High quality" it will stop doing this. SrPx 1 Quote
Dmitry_Pogorelov Posted January 27, 2022 Author Posted January 27, 2022 Phew… - It works!😃 Thank you @SunnyFluffles! "- Ok, Affinity Photo, what other surprises? I'm still looking for a chance to switch from Photoshop to you… So far I see that this program definitely needs better quality brushes .. Ouch… Where is Path Menu? How to replace the usual work algorithm with Photoshop … Again a surprise)))" Quote
