You would be better served by making a new topic in this forum. You have to admit that this has nothing to do with 64 bit Windows.

Also mention which Application you have, Affinity has Designer, Photo and Publisher. And the OS you are using Windows or Mac.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

It would also help to know what you mean by "struggling" - what are you trying to do and what happens when you try it?

You already know the answer to the OS question!

However, the unrelated question does deserve its own topic, and it would be helpful to know which app the OP is using.

There is no build-in function dedicated to the process, Opposite to other vendor Apps.

Never the less, you can do a color separation manually in different ways. There are a few older threads covering that topic. I would suggest to use the forum search or even the browser search engine to find those reports.

If you need CMYK channels, this is relatively easy possible by using the channels panel in Affinity Photo (not in Designer).

Designer is not the best choice of App for this task.

In case you need 4 separate 1-bit bitmap CMYK channels:

this feature has been requested quite often, and probably will not come any time soon, or never.

The Halftone live filter is more an artistic filter and no accurate way to create prepress data.

You may try to contact uses who expressed they are more experienced in the older threads.
