I'm having trouble with Affinity Designer crash as soon as I try it. When I click the desktop icon, I will get the splash screen, it will hold there for about 3-5 seconds, and then close. I've looked in Task Manager to see if it was running in the background but it’s never present. I am currently using Windows 10 and have all updates installed but I can't figure out why this is happening. I have used Affinity Designer for several years on my laptop but decided to install it on my desktop since I have two licenses. After I installed it, I worked fine but I wasn't able to use it for about two weeks. When I came back to start working on it, this is when I noticed the issue. If there are some log files I can pull then upload to this forum, just let me know where and I would be more than happy to upload them. Thanks for the help.

P.S. I’m currently running AD 1.10.4.1198.

You are referring to my video card hardware acceleration or in AD itself?

In Designer, in the Performance section of Preferences.

Also, what kind of graphics card are you using?

I'm using a Radeon Grahics R7 360 (2GB DDR5) Best Buy: XFX AMD Radeon R7 360 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card Black/Gray R7-360B-CDFR

The problem with checking the preferences is that I can't get to that point. I click on the AD icon in Windows, the splash screen appears, and then it closes...Nothing else. Is there any log file with AD like Windows does that I could pull. I may need to reinstall the program. I am kind of shying away from that because I'm getting a new desktop within a month and I would hate to keep reusing the product key. Its 100% legal but i would hate for the activation servers to think I'm reusing the key again and again. Thanks for the help!

Thanks. In that case, perhaps this applies:

Hi @MBernard,

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

As Walt has mentioned, I suspect this is related to the AMD Adrenalin drivers you have installed currently - as the description of your issue sounds very similar to other users who have reported this crash with the Adrenalin drivers.

Please do let us know if rolling back driver versions does not help!
