Ron P. Posted January 20, 2022 Posted January 20, 2022 I've been searching all over the forums, and for answers on the net concerning disabling the Right-Click context menu, and find only a registry hack provided by MS dated back to 2012. I've tried it and it no longer works. In Designer and Windows, there's a shortcut command Click Right Mouse to Smooth Node. This is impossible due to Windows using this for context menus. Don't misunderstand, I'm a die-hard right-clicker (that a word? ) So disabling it totally on my system is something I would rather not do. Using Alt key allows for changing smooth node to sharp. So why not make it a toggle? Click on a Smooth curve to make it Sharp using Alt, then again using Alt to click on a Sharp node should change it to a Smooth. Right Mouse button (right-click) on Windows is nonsense. Windows has already commanded control over that, and apparently can not be changed. Is there a work-around, outside of clicking on the icon in the context toolbar, to changing Sharp nodes to Smooth? Dan C Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 Hi Ron, Sorry to hear you're having trouble! 12 hours ago, Ron P. said: Right Mouse button (right-click) on Windows is nonsense. Windows has already commanded control over that, and apparently can not be changed. I can confirm this has been raised and logged with our developers previously, alongside other Windows 'right-click' shortcuts that can incorrectly interfere with the application. I'm in the process of updating this log with your report here now. Currently, there is no other workaround for this action that I'm aware of, my apologies. In my testing I'm able to invoke the left+right click shortcut, but it's certainly tricky and fails (opening the context menu) more often than not. 12 hours ago, Ron P. said: Using Alt key allows for changing smooth node to sharp. This certainly sounds like a good suggestion, that I'll be sure to pass onto the team for you Ron P., Frozen Death Knight, Wosven and 1 other 4 Quote

gidkid Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 This is driving me nuts esp. since I have a vertical mouse. I hate having to go up to the buttons too as it really slows me down. Hope we get an new option soon! 🤞 Quote
