I have a box with two red dots that just appeared and I can't delete it or access it at all. It is not in the history, it is not on a master page. When I deleted the page it was on it appeared on another page - I deleted that page and it appeared on another page. It does not show when I turn on "preview" and it does not show when I print. But it is annoying and I'd like to know what it is, what I might have done accidently, and if it is affecting my work in some way I don't know about. See attached. Thanks.

And in Layers panel?

Assuming that you’re using Publisher, it’s a text frame which is too small for the text that it contains.

Is it possible to upload the file?

but in the meantime...

Is the layer locked?

Is the object behind another?

In the page panel is the page blank ie. with no masters applied (Cleared)?

As I was trying to look around to answer your questions, I found the issue. I decided to delete all the pages one by one (under a new file name) and when I deleted all but one page I found a text box sitting on the "art board" or "desktop" (or whatever it is called in Publisher) as if I had clicked on "hide", which I had not, and it only appeared when nearly all the pages were deleted. It did not even show in the layers panel. So I am not sure how it got there and why it was not showing in the layers panel but now it is gone. I just have to figure out how to find it in my actual document without deleting all my pages, lol. Anyway, thank you everyone.

Just another quick update, I went back to my original document and there appears to be no way for me to get at the box without deleting all my pages. It is not a "hidden" layer, it is not on a layer in the layers panel, it does not show on the page under the pages panel, the layers on the page are not locked. The box is under page 6 and if I delete page 6 I find it on page 5 so it seems it is stuck to the "desktop" under the page. But, I tried to add 6 pages to the start of the document so page 6 would now be a blank page thinking maybe the box is stuck to the "desktop" and will therefore wind up under the new blank page 6...but no, the box moved with the original page to page 12. I zoomed way out thinking maybe I will see it sitting on the "desktop", nope...it got smaller with the page because it is under the page. If I delete pages 1-6, then I find it sitting on the "desktop" at the top of the document. Anyway, maybe a glitch, or maybe a feature I don't know about. I will try to ignore it :) (unless someone knows how to access it).

Is it possible to upload your document to the forum? - even without pictures and text you don't want to share.

Have you looked at your Master Pages?

That's my best guess, without seeing the actual document, or a screenshot that includes the Layers panel.

Have you tried deleting the box from the menu?
Are you trying to delete the box with it selected with txt tool?
