I'm on the trial of Affinity Publisher to see if it can fit my needs.  I also had to download the trial for Affinity Designer just to create a new brush style to test this.  (incidentally, the tight integration between apps is nice...but the bifurcation of basic features kinda sucks).

In any case the bug I encountered prevents me from applying anything but a default brush as the Stroke for a Table (either the border or internal stroke).  I select Style from the Stroke and Fill window, go to Texture Line Style, select Properties:  The resulting window is the appropriate Brush - Selection window but is blank at the top and bottom where previews of the brush should be seen.  Any changes made to the parameters in this window instantly reset to their defaults.  This Brush - Selection window behavior is the same from both the Publisher persona and the Designer Persona.  However in the Designer persona I can use the Brush tool tab to select my desired pattern...which then applies itself in a circle around the top left vertex of the selected Table instead of around its perimeter (or to the selected cell).  The texture stroke is very large and cannot be edited.

Added context:  There is a particular dotted line pattern that permeates my branding and serves as the columnar divider of my current invoice template.  That template was put together by hand rather than programmatically so it has difficulty with certain things. e.g. a line-item needing a description.  My aim was to create a new invoice template where that pattern was tied to the Table itself so that it could be more flexible with cell sizing.

Hi @Botheredand Welcome to the Forums,

I've checked with our QA team who have confirmed this is by design.

I'll get this moved over to Feature Requests as its technically not a bug.
