Lynn S
Hi, all of a sudden, I can no longer see the dodge and burn brush circle (cursor) even when changing the brush size. The circle use to appear when I resize the brush, and disappear afterward. But now it does not even show at all. It is impossible to tell how big the brush is without seeing the circle. Strangely, only the burn and dodge brush circle is missing. The other brushes, such as the blur and the smudge brushes still have the circle. I use the dodge and burn brushes a lot when editing my photos, so not being able to see the brush size is a very big problem for me. I have attached a short clip here to better explain the problem. Please help. IMG_0434.MP4
Staff Dan C Posted January 20, 2022 Staff Share Posted January 20, 2022 Hi @Lynn S, Welcome to the Affinity Forums & I'm sorry to see you're having trouble! I can't see anything obvious from your screen recording that would cause this in Affinity, especially for only 2 tools - so I'd like to try a force restart of your iPad to see if this returns these to normal behaviour. Can you please close the Affinity app, then follow the steps in the below link - Once restarted, reopen Affinity and try using these tools once again. Does this change the behaviour you see please? Many thanks in advance Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks! Lynn S
Hi @Dan C , Thanks for your suggestion. I have managed to solve the problem earlier today, by uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I can now see the circles again. I did try a restart (not force restart) before that but it did not help. If I encounter similar issues again in the future I will give force restart a try. Dan C
