I have a Publisher 1.10.4 document with multiple fullsize images.

For preview purposes, I want to export a single page as a PNG file (or any other export format) with reduced size.

I open the “Export” dialogue, change the desired sizes, and click “Current page only” — and the sizes are reset to the document dimensions.

As the size fields are on top of the range selector, I would expect to keep the user's dimensions.

Hi @Andreas Scherer,

Thanks for your report! I can confirm that this is the expected behaviour of the app - when changing the export 'Area', you are essentially creating a new export selection, and this selection needs to report it's true export size by default.

I can certainly appreciate your position in regards to having set a custom export size in the dialogs above, however for the majority of users, if these values did not update to the exact size as they are within the document then this could cause customer confusion and result in an excess of support tickets for users whose designs "aren't the correct size" when exporting.

I will log this as an improvement with our developers, to be considered for a future version - perhaps an option by these values to be retained when changing area etc.

I hope this helps :)

Alternatively, I can set my desired export dimensions and use the Pages box, e.g., exporting only Page 3. This does not reset the sizes, which IMHO shows that something is not quite right in this dialogue box.

In this context, it's interesting to note that the Pages box is not cleared/reset between separate exports, so one might expect the same conservation of the Sizes fields, maybe amended with a Reset to document size button.

Thanks for pondering alternative behaviour.
