Whirlybird Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 I purchased the iPad version and played around for a week was just about to purchase Affinity Designer for windows, when I thought I should check for compatible Graphtec Cutter plug-in and was surprised to read up until the last forum entry in 2020, one does not exist. Is this still the case or has anyone found a reliable workaround with little expense if possible? Quote
Whirlybird Posted January 18, 2022 Author Posted January 18, 2022 Thanks, am just in process of downloading Graphtec Studio for same idea…the crashing outcome has just dampened my hopeful optimism. I’m very new to this and am feeling a little downhearted that my newly purchased cutter, is not compatible with Affinity that I’ve spent last few weeks learning and I simply can’t warrant AI or Corel cost at present. Andy05 Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Usually even budget cutter/plotters include some kind of software for using them. Even if it's very uncomfortable to use or to design with. But such software typically can deal with at least one vector format or another (PDF/EPS/SVG). So designing a motive in the preferred app, like Affinity Designe, and exporting it so the manufacturer's native software can be used for plotting/cutting is a standard workflow.
