Hi,

I'm having a major problem with Publisher on MacOS 12.1.  The program visible shuts off suddenly but apparently remains open according to the Affinity icon bar. Then, when I attempt to use Force Quit it will not open. The Mac then refuses to shut down and I have to hold down the start button to reboot.

I am having no other problems with the system. The problem seems to have started with one particular file.

Help!

In addition to this questions / hints in your other thread:

– If the dialog window for Force Quit (opt-cmd-esc) does not open: Alternatively you can force quit an application via the ActivityMonitor.app >

– In APub close all documents. Then quit APub. Go to your APub user library folder (~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Publisher). If there are files in the folders "autosave" or "temp" delete them. – Launch APub to see if it helped.

– In APub close all documents. Then quit APub + all apps + shut down the mac. Then hold the Shift key to boot in Save Mode. Open APub. Open/create a new document. Close APub. Shut down the mac. Reboot normally. – Launch APub to see if it helped.

– Reset APub: Hold the Control key + click on the app icon > choose "Open". In the following dialog press the button "Select All" to force the reset. "Cancel" will open the app without reset. Before reset you may want to save your custom settings, copy the folder to another place outside the library folder. If APub works as expected you can try selectively to move your custom settings back to their initial folder.
