egiegi Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Hello, I am going to register for a free trial of AFFINITY Photo/ Designer, but how long is the trial period? If I use trial period for Photo first, can I still use it for free for Designer? Also, I want to use the app in English, but can I use in English even if I enter "Japan" in the country field of the account information at the first register window? Thank you for your help. Quote
Komatös Posted January 18, 2022 Posted January 18, 2022 Hi, @egiegi and welcome to the forums. The test period is 10 days and begins with the installation of the programmes. This means that if you install Photo and Designer on the same day, the trial period ends after 10 days for both programmes. The language for the UI and the spell checker and other things can be set later in the preferences. Or rather, it begins when you launch the installed app for the first time. However, the important point is that the trial clock runs continuously, even if you don’t use the app every day: it follows that you should run the trials one at a time rather than in parallel. Thanks to the shared file format, any files saved during the first trial can be opened and edited further during the second one. But, on the other hand, running in parallel will enable you to better compare the functions of each app by simply switching between them during your workflow/testing to see which app has the functions you need and which app (more importantly) does not. Just make sure you have allocated adequate time for testing from the moment you first launch the apps Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum.
